finally posting last weekends work...

I know it is Thursday and i am just now posting things i finished Saturday, but it has been a busy week: with school, homework, and work... ;) here is the deer head, and a squirrel stitched. there is a funny story behind that one. Me and my sisters bake cookies at my grandmas houseevery year for christmas, because she has a big kitchen... its an all day event, this year my sister was making choc chip. She put three trays in the oven, took them out and stuck another tray in there. She forgot about that one, so they got really really burned and set the smoke alarm off, i threw the tray out front on her porch. About a half hour later my mom looks out the window and sees a squirrel standing close to the door eating a cookie... as he watched my mom. it was really funny, so i stitched that and i plan on making a card out of it and giving it to my grandma for vday.... :) it will make her laugh.


i have been working on packages to sent out to book publishers, inside are gonna be 2 handmade books, another drawstring bag with a toy inside, and possible a stitched key chain (im not too sure about that yet, it might not fit inside) i am senting out 10 to 12 packages... i have one of the books completly done stitched up and everything, getting copies tonite of the other book and sewwing them tommorrow. im exicted. i hope someone gets back to me :)

recent work

here are some stuff i have been working on, the nesting dolls i did last week. the Abe Lincoln quote i did over the weekend, and i finally started the first one in the stuffed animal series... the deer head, here is the drawing and the started project, i started it last night so i didn't get too much done yet, im looking forward to finishing it.... i am going to do some sketchs of a wallpaper like patter for the back drop of the finished piece. :)

monkey fun

i started grad school yesterday... i have a good feeling about it now. i am excited to get really going with this. i want a real job and make a good amount of money doing it.... plus i still have time to make art. which is what is really important to me. i did some monkey drawings last night, which are posted here, and i started the little nesting doll sewing piece i am doing... ill post when that's finished. (hopefully by the weekend) enjoy :)

sunday fun

i got this new paper the other day.... its like a mixed media pad of paper. so i wanted to try it out, it felt good to paint just for fun again.... i made them for my sister :) but i think i am going to make them as post cards so look for them.

bookmaking and my little baby

This is what i have been working on for the past couple days... my sweetheart is away with his family on vacation in a warm place. when he goes away i like to make him something little to look at, just something that reminds him of me... this time it was about a 20 page book. I scanned some of my favorite pages....here they areI hope he likes this book


Abe is such a funny dog. whenever i am on the computer he wants to sit on my lap and have me pet him and scratch him... he makes me laugh. i like having someone here with my durning my daybreak. its nice to have someone to talk to :)

gifts,postal, and a pup

Ok so Abe is staying with me this weekend, my sweetheart is on vacation with his family. i made him a book i will post the photos later. this computer i am working on isn't working with me :(

So here i can finally post this, she got it in the mail yesterday so its ok. I didn't want her to see it because she didn't receive it yet....

This is the beginning stages of the lighthouse napkins i made for my grandpa for Christmas. and the finished napkins are after ..... i think they turned out really nice. He really liked them :)




We went to my aunts for dinner January 2nd so i made her a new years present... its his and her hand towels for her husband and herself :) i am making myself some as soon as we get a place of our own

And last but not least some drawing i did at work 3 days ago.... this is the next project, hopefully this weekends project.

jellyfishes

I have been working on alot lately, keeping myself very busy... here are some of the things, i will post the other gifts i made and gave to my loved ones later. I am working on a book for my sweetheart as we speak.... its about 30 pages or so, i will scan some of the better pages before i sew it together.
